The Endotherme™ 980nm laser diode treats varicose veins and large and small saphenous veins. The Endovenous laser treatment is an effective, safe, fast and painless outpatient procedure, which offers many benefits which make it preferable to conventional surgery:
- Local anesthesia or loco-regional
- Outpatient procedure which requires no hospitalization
- No hematoma
- Immediate resumption of the march
The Endotherme is based on the thermal effect of the laser, which is divided into 4 stages:
- Light is converted into heat
- Heat is transferred to the vessel wall
- The thermo chemical effect acts on the tissue components of the vessel wall
- The vessel wall is destroyed
Published study proves the efficacy and results of the endovenous laser technique. A study by Desmyttere et al, published in December 2007 in the Journal of Vascular Surgery , shows that of 500 patients treated with Pharaoh 980nm, the success rate of saphenous vein occlusion at 4 years is over 97%.
Treated areas:
- Great saphenous veins
- Small saphenous veins
